Oracle Health Data Incident

Past Patient Information May Be Affected by Data Breach

Your peace of mind matters to us. We want to share information about an incident at Oracle Health (formerly Cerner Corporation), a third-party electronic health records vendor previously used at certain AdventHealth locations.

In March 2025, Oracle Health informed us that an unauthorized third party gained access to some of its legacy Cerner systems as early as January 22, 2025, and obtained certain data. AdventHealth is one of many health care providers whose information was involved. Once Oracle Health identified this issue, they began an extensive investigation, engaged external cybersecurity specialists and worked with federal law enforcement. Investigators asked Oracle Health (and all affected organizations) to delay notifying individuals while they completed critical steps to understand the incident.

This incident has not impacted AdventHealth’s current IT systems or the safe and reliable operation of our clinical services. If your personal information was involved in the data breach, you’ll receive a letter in the mail with more details.

On October 31, 2025, Oracle Health provided AdventHealth with a list of patients whose information may have been involved. The type of information varies by individual, but may include names, Social Security numbers and information typically found in a medical record, such as medical record numbers, diagnoses, medications, test results, images or treatment details.

Notifications and Support for Patients

Letters are being mailed to individuals whose information may have been involved. These letters include an offer for two years of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services.

We also encourage patients to review statements received from health care providers or insurance plans and report any unfamiliar activity right away.

We sincerely apologize for any worry or disruption that this Oracle Health incident may cause. AdventHealth remains committed to safeguarding your information and continues to review and strengthen the cybersecurity protections of all third-party partners we rely on to support your care.
