- What is the role of a Patient and Family Experience Partner?

Patient and Family Experience Partners act as a voice for patients and families who receive care at AdventHealth. They are long-term partners who meet regularly with leadership, physicians and team members on an array of topics affecting the patient and family experience.
Our partners:
- Collaborate with leaders, caregivers and other team members on how to improve the patient experience through short- or long-term projects
- Give advice based on their own experiences as a patient or family member
- Want to help enhance the experience of AdventHealth’s care for all patients and family members
- Volunteer their time (typically one to four hours per month)
- How will you make a difference?

As a Patient and Family Experience Partner, you can help us by:
- Designing and reviewing collateral: Partners review or help create educational materials
- Participating in committee work: Partners bring their perspectives to the decision-making table
- Sharing your story: Partners help inform our care by sharing their firsthand health care experiences with clinicians, team members and other patients

- Bring a positive attitude to discussions

- Provide feedback and collaborate with others as part of a team
- Talk about both positive and negative care experiences
- Share your thoughts on what went well and how things could have been done differently, from your patient or family member perspective
